McKinney Foundation

In May 2002, The Children's Table Inc. (1996) was renamed to The McKinney Foundation. The Children's Table became a program addressing the specific needs of children. The McKinney Foundation has a broader scope addressing the needs of the LaMarque - West Texas City community. The Foundation was created to address all the needs of our community from birth until death.

The McKinney Foundation is a Faith-based organization, affiliated with McKinney Memorial United Methodist Church. The vision of the McKinney Foundation – The people (Church) perish for lack of vision= community involvement through improving the lives of God's people.

Purpose: To provide services addressing the stages of human development from birth to senior adulthood in LaMarque-West Texas City, Texas. These services are based on 1 Corinthians 4:13 and are designed to reflect the love of Christ to the community. Our goal is to plan ministries of love in action while nurturing our present congregation and “reaching out” to our community with the love of Christ. The Foundation strives to be relevant in our community, becoming a community church, being living witnesses of the Word, including and inviting participation from the surrounding community. Thus, enabling McKinney Church survival and growth.
